In 2007, $231,916 in gifts from donors made it possible for Kadlec Foundation to provide funding for healthcare scholarships, equipment, and special needs for patients and their family members.
We are very grateful for the many community members and groups who have provided stuffed animals, blankets, and baby hats to benefit our patients. The generosity of these people is greatly appreciated!

A Big Step Forward
Russ Homewood only used the Bioness L300 for a few minutes before he was convinced. Almost instantly it made a difference in how he walked.
The wireless system assists in lifting the foot to compensate for foot drop, a condition caused by weakness of the muscles that can lead to instability and difficulty walking.
“The equipment is wonderful. In just a one time use, I could tell a difference. It made me walk more comfortably, more confidently. I am really excited about it,” he said.
Thanks to the $45,000.00 grant from the Kadlec Foundation, three units have been ordered-one for inpatient use, and two for outpatient clinics.
“The Foundation really stepped up and donated the money for this. It was incredible that they were able to help us get this breakthrough technology to help restore function,” said Angela Mohondro, MA, MBA, Kadlec’s Director, Clinical Therapies.
